‘Tis the season for wearing festive clothing! We live a pretty quiet life, so haven’t had any fancy parties to go to. But I thought I would share some things I wore to a few more casual holiday events. These were inspired by the #thriftedchicstylechallenge on Instagram!
I loved the texture and ruffle detail in this thrifted blouse. Early in the day I wore it with a cameo necklace I got from Texas Gal Treasures. She sells jewelry and other things on both eBay and Etsy! I got my earrings from Madame Seamus Steampunk Fare.
Later in the day, I wore a scarf to add a little holiday flair.
Another great thrifted find was this red sweater with a satiny tie at the neckline. It really dressed up a basic black outfit.
For a chorus Christmas party, I wore a thrifted royal blue sweater. These saturated colors say “holiday” to me! The necklace and bracelets I wore with this outfit were shown earlier here on the blog.
And I couldn’t resist sharing this next outfit! My chorus did a holiday show in which we were all dressed up as elves. I found this sweater dress at Target. My husband found this hat at a thrift shop. As if it isn’t tacky enough, there’s a button on the brim that makes it dance around and play a tune!
I hope everyone else is have some fun with festive fashion over the holidays!
Coldwater Creek blouse (thrifted for $3.00)
Red K-I-K-I-T sweater (thrifted for $4.00)
Blue Rafaella sweater (thrifted for $2.00)

Aren’t they a hoot? I bought the sweater dress first, and then my husband came home with the tights. He thought that they would match the dress on the sleeves perfectly, and he was right!
