I didn’t get my Common Threads Challenge post up yesterday, so want to do that first. This is a challenge by several bloggers to choose five pieces from your wardrobe and wear at least one of them every day this month. You can see my first week here, and my second week here.
I don’t have five outfits this week since I was a bit under the weather and just hunkered down at home. And the one day I wore my red jacket and blue jeans, I forgot to take a photo! But I did manage to wear my silver tee shirt one day with a pair of burgundy ankle pants bought on clearance from White House Black Market last year.
And my orange sneakers paired with a green tunic and floral jacket (both thrifted). I’ve been into the tunic/leggings look lately. I think I may be really too short for it, but I love the look on other people and it’s so easy (and comfy)!
I’ve been pulling out some of my longer necklaces for fall. I tend to use the long necklaces because I love the look of a long piece, and just can’t get into wearing scarves. I love the way they look on other people, but just can’t get the hang of them myself!
And today, I wore both the ankle pants and sneakers with an olive tee shirt and tan cardigan, both thrifted. I just liked the way the cardigan ties at the neckline.
We popped into Cape May to stock up on some things before all of the stores close for the winter. Most importantly, I wanted to get some butterscotch peanut butter from The Cape May Peanut Butter Company. It is the most amazingly delicious peanut butter! And the town was all dressed up for Halloween!
This plaque is affixed to the wall outside of my favorite clothing consignment shop.
I have a busy weekend ahead, with good weather for yard saling tomorrow and lots of singing to do both with my quartet and chorus. This past week was the yearly Sweet Adelines international competition, and the quartet championship was won by a group of ladies from my region, so I’ll leave you with a link to their video. If you like good singing, you won’t be sorry you clicked on it!
Thank you for joining me on my frugal fashion journey! Please follow me here, on Bloglovin’, Instagram and Facebook. Check out the linkups I participate in on the sidebar to the right. And please feel free to comment — I’d love to know what you think!
Oh such lovely outfits you created! I am loving that floral jacket with the green tunic and the silver tee with burgundy pants combo is so perfect for fall. I have to admit that I clicked on the music video and got completely sucked in! They are fabulous. And such beautiful women….their passion for their art shines through their eyes and their gorgeous smiles while they perform. Thank you for sharing that! And thanks for linking up with me On the Edge!

Love that cat plaque!!!!! I want that……..This challenge is a lot of work. I would be doing a lot of selfies in the hall mirror. My favorite is the olive and tan, now in the photo it looks sort of pinkish which I think would be a great color combo that I had never thought of. Love seeing that you linked up to my little thrifting thing. Take care until next time, Terri
