This is the time of year when the weather doesn’t know how to make up its mind! One day it’s snowing, the next it’s up to 60 degrees. It’s always an adventure to decide what to wear.
I love layers at any time of year, but especially during the change of seasons. Here, a pair of boyfriend jeans paired with a thrifted tee shirt and open work cardigan. I love the look of cropped pants — they make me feel taller somehow. So at the first hint of warmer weather, I ditch my socks and dig out the crops!
Sorry for the overexposed photo. Both the top and pink sweater in this outfit were thrifted. Notice the theme of matching the sneakers to the sweater!
This long fringe cardigan is a favorite of mine. Notice the Nicky kitty looking out the window behind me!
This entire outfit was thrifted. A floral tee shirt topped with a long sleeveless zip vest. With pockets!!! I love pockets. The entire cost of this outfit was under $25. Including …
this fantastic necklace, which I bought on a YouTube auction.
Basic black and white with a little sparkle in the top. The jacket and jeans were thrifted.
And finally an opportunity to dig out the denim jacket. I thrifted this CAbi jacket several months ago. It will get a lot of wear in the warmer weather.
Pretty soon it will be time to make the transition to Spring clothing. I love pulling everything out and rediscovering favorites that I had forgotten about. And then, of course, getting rid of some things and buying “new” to fill in the gaps!

YOUTUBE AUCTION?!?! Is there a whole world out there that I don’t even know about?? What is a YouTube auction??

You have quite the knack & eye for finding “hidden treasures”. Always enjoy seeing your “gems” of ensembles.
I call our local charity/thrift shops “boutiques”. The owners are a wealth of info, too. Each have unique experiences & perspectives on what clients may/may not want.
p.s. Layering is the only way to dress here in SWLouisiana. Luckily I love to play with different weights & textures.

I’m with Bettye – what’s a YouTube auction? And, love your outfits. I would probably go broke if I had good thrift stores like you do.

I love your Cabi Jacket and I think you educated a few of us today. YouTube auction? I’ve never heard of it. And you know we’ve been going through some weather here in the Midwest so layering is necessary here too. I enjoyed, as usual, your insightful views on how to mix all the wonderful things you find.
